Youtube and the Ferrets
When I got home tonight, I let the weasels out to play for a while, and while they were playing with a trashbag in the kitchen, I pulled out the cameraphone and recorded a short clip of them jumping around. The only problem is, I had no idea how to convert the video from the .3g2 format into youtube compatible format. (I didn’t try just sending the 3g2 file strait to youtube, I just assumed it wouldn’t work). In fact, I tried for half an hour just to get the file off the phone and on the computer, so I ended up just emailing it to myself.
Anyway, after a few minutes of googling, I found MediaCoder. It is a pretty good conversion program, and I’ve barely scratched the surface of its capabilities, I’m sure.
Anyway, I got it converted, and here it is. It’s short and pretty grainy, but it’s my first try so go easy on me.
[edit]: it seems that I wasted my time with sending the video to my computer, then converting, then to youtube. I came across this site this morning, which led me to look here. Looks like youbube has added the ability to send videos directly to them, which is pretty cool. Look for more videos from me at http://youtube.com/profile?user=diggnate85.[/edit]

Even though you found a different way of uploading to youtube I needed to upload/convert some .3g2 video files I had. Finding a free conversion program was not going very well until I found this post (and subsequently MediaCoder.)
With much appreciation.
