Design Status

After a few days of letting my eyes absorb the maximum number of WordPress themes and CSS based designs, I’ve roughly decided what my design is going to look like.

The color scheme will be essentially unchanged from the temporary theme I’m running currently. Basically, it will be a green/white/grey/black/orange and perhaps a hint of red, using grey as the body background, white as story backgrounds, and green/black/orange as support colors in things like headers, links, navigation boxes, etc. I think it’s gonna look nice.

The layout is going to be similar to the current layout, except with 2 navigation columns on the right to house the information I need displayed. Also, I absolutely hate seeing blogs with an endless scroll of story after story. I don’t plan on having that be the case for mine, so I will limit the story excerpts to 2, and possibly even just 1. Underneath the excerpts, I’ll have my flickr badge.

It’s going to be hard finding a theme to edit to these specifications, so it may still be a while before I get started, but once I do, I’ll let you know. I hate that I wasted all that time with the other design, but I guess it was good practice. We’ll see how this one turns out.
