Announcing a Contest

Well, it’s Friday and I hope everyone has a good weekend.

If you want to win a $25.00 gift certificate to Amazon.com, you’ll want to read on.

Since this blog is still relatively small, you will probably have a pretty good chace of winning. That is, if you follow the rules

As you might know, I am on a mission to get more people to subscribe to my feed. If you don’t know what that is, check out this story, or this one. So, today I’m offering an incentive, that would be the $25 gift certificate to Amazon.com.

The Rules

All you really have to do is subscribe to my feed. Well, not exactly. I need proof that you subscribed, so you’ll have to send me a screenshot of my blog in your feed reader (for instructions, go here). However, if you want an easier way to subscribe, you can always just use the email subscription option and not worry about sending any screenshots. That’s what I would do

On Friday, February 9th, I will randomly select an email address from the list using a randomizing program. The winner will be contacted via email for mailing instructions.

Tell your friends. If they win, you get $25 too!

That’s right! If you refer someone to this site and they win the drawing, you too will receive a $25 gift certificate to Amazon.com. When the winner is chosen, I will give them a chance to name a referrer (or a referring source). If the person who referred them is also a subscriber to my feed, they will receive $25 too! If no one referred them, we will run the contest again to give away the second gift certificate.

So get busy and SUBSCRIBE TO MY FEED and send me those screenshots. If you’re an email subscriber, you’re already entered into the contest!

Instructions:

1. Subscribe to my feed using your favorite feed reader
2. Take a screenshot of your feedreader with my blog’s feed pulled up
3. Send that screenshot to feedcontest@nathanrice.org with a subject of “Feed Contest”
4. Wait for me to confirm your request to be entered into the contest
5. Tell your friends so you double your chances of winning
6. Blog about this contest, ’cause if the winner cites your blog as the referral, you win $25 too!
7. I’ll announce the winner on Monday, February 12
