Monday Links
I hope you had a good weekend, and if you haven’t noticed our contest post yet, you DON’T want to miss it. Let’s just say that if you like free stuff, you’ll want to check it out.
I found a couple of interesting things over the weekend that I thought you all might be interested in.
An update on the ridiculous challenge
You may remember me telling you that I’d keep you posted for any extraordinarily cool WordPress themes this guy comes up with. Well, I have to say, this really is one of the coolest themes I’ve ever seen. If you’re looking for a theme for your WordPress blog, you’ll want to keep an eye on this guy’s blog.
Feed stats without using FeedBurner — Fedafi
David and I were sort of going back and forth over here about using FeedBurner. While I still recommend using it for publishing your RSS feed, this sweet little plugin called Fedafi will give you much of the same functionality of FeedBurner without having to go third-party.
Still, if you change domain names or blogging software, you could potentially lose a truckload of subscribers, so I still recommend FeedBurner.
Of course, even if you use FeedBurner, it still might be nice to use Fedafi (unless you use this plugin) to track those readers who either manually input yourblog.com/feed/ into their reader or if your theme publishes that address instead of your FeedBurner address.
Speaking of feeds, have you subscribed to my feed yet? It could get you a cool prize if you have!
Finally, I can across this pretty cool list via digg the other day. It’s basically 156 things this guy did with his blog in the first year to become successful. It has some really cool tips for growing your blog too
Be sure to wish him a happy one year anniversary.
That’s it for now. 24 tonight! Everybody ought to be watching!
