My First Wordpress Theme
Recently, my buddy Cory jumped into the Wordpress theme development world. I suppose that after redoing his own blog, he felt comfortable enough with the WP API to attempt to write one of his own. What he ended up with was great!
Being the code junkie that I am, I decided to take a look under the hood of his theme and poke around. During the slow hour this morning, I jumped in and started hacking away at the CSS (stylesheet) file to see what I could come up with by ONLY editing the CSS (and some images). I was amazed at how easy it was to change the entire look of the theme by just editing a few lines of code, and what I ended up with I am now releasing as a theme of my own (with permission from Cory of course).
As soon as the DNS records begin to reflect it, head over to wpthemes.nathanrice.org and check out the theme in action. Yes, it’s simple, but it’s also made to be highly customizable with an editable header, extended length menubars that are easily interchangeable, heck if you wanted to edit the whole thing all you’d have to do is add some images and change some CSS code
Here’s a screenshot…

Anyway, click here to download the zip archive of the theme (107K). Unzip it and have a look at the README.txt file for installation and customization instructions. Hope you like it

I love this theme you are using. Is it available for download somewhere or did you design it yourself. And this comment box, love it too. cheers.
laurie,
I assume you mean the theme currently on my blog, correct?
It’s heavily modified, so be forewarned, but I got the theme from gluedideas

Is it a wordpress theme? I want to use that theme on my blog but I am using a free version, that’s why I can’t edit it.
