Welcome Newcomers

Yesterday was THE BIGGEST traffic day this blog has ever had. I just wanted to say hello to all the visitors from digg. Oh, and all you guys who came here for the Richard Dawkins story, welcome to you as well.

In light of the flood of new visitors, I want to take a minute and explain what this blog is all about. Take a look at my tagline in the top banner.

Religion, Science, Life, Tech, Politics, and how they all work together.

This site is not just a personal blog, it is a documentation of thoughtful theism.

Although not a debate site, I welcome polite discourse in the comments, whether you agree or disagree with me or other commenters. This site is a public search for truth, whatever that truth may be.

I’m a critic. I criticize the scientific establishment, and the religious establishment. I criticize conservatives, I criticize liberals. Then you come in and criticize me :-) But that’s not all I do. I offer solutions, practical suggestions, and welcome them as well. No one here is assumed to be dumb, and no one is treated as such. Respect is valued, but so is knowledge. Evidence is great, but so is experience.

So, I hope you’ll stick around and see what’s being talked about. In fact, if you subscribe to my feed using your favorite feed reader, you never have to come back. And if you don’t like the stories you see, just unsubscribe.

In the mean time, here are some of the more popular stories. Look over them and see what you think. I hope all you guys stick around!

Nathan, congrats on the stats.

Was one of your posts dugg then? If so which one?

Thanks David. I’m excited too. I looked this morning and noticed that yesterday was almost as high as the day before. I’m sure it will die down soon enough, but it’s fun while it lasts.

Well, I submit some of the tech posts to digg, but only 1 has really had any traction, here it is

Also, I left a comment on this story that brought in traffic to this little script. I saw that a bunch of people were visiting the script so I added a link to my blog. Instant traffic :-)

Knowing PHP finally paid off :-)
