Subscribing to Comments

I just wanted to let everyone know that I’ve configured the subscribe to comments plugin so that you can actually subscribing to a comment thread, even if you don’t want to participate in the comments yourself.

It’s simple really … all you have to do is open the link for the story that you want to track and scroll down to the bottom of the page, below the comments, and below the comment posting section you should see a place to enter your email address under the label “subscribe without commenting”.  Just enter your email address and click “subscribe”.

You should receive an email each time a new comment on the story is submitted.

I think this is cool because I know a lot of you out there really like watching what happens in the comments and would like to have a way to keep up with them without sticking your neck out there to comment.  I understand … and now there’s a way :-)

Did you abandon the posting schedule after all?

yes and no. I never wanted it to be a hard schedule … but more of a way to make it easier to write. It worked for a week or so there, but with the lack of a net connection, it’s been harder.

We’ll see.
