Stupid Things I’ve Said in the Past
“I don’t have enough faith to be an atheist.”
“The Constitution wasn’t written to prevent us from protecting ourselves.”
“I don’t need renter’s insurance.” [why that was stupid]
“A vote for a third party candidate is a vote for John Kerry.” [hint: Bush and Kerry both were terrible choices]
“I think I might want to be Episcopalian”
“Let me explain why NewSpring Church is dangerous…” [hint: I’m a member of NewSpring now]
“I really don’t like coffee.”
“I don’t want to re-learn a new operating system.” [hint: I’m a recent Mac convert]
“Were you there?” [hint: this little nugget brought to you by Ken Ham]
“Kieth Olbermann is mean.” [ok, he’s still mean, but he’s right a lot of the time]
“This WordPress stuff is too hard to learn.” [hint: I now work with WordPress full time]
What’s the point of this post? I just wanted to remind myself that I’m not always right. Many times, as experience shows, mere months later I realize how incredibly wrong I was, and the taste of my own foot is a fair reminder of this fact.
Humility … one elusive S.O.B.

Stupid Thing I’ve Said in the Past:
“keith Olbermann is right a lot of the time.” [ok, he’s still right a lot of the time, but he’s mean]
LOL! George, that was the comment of the day.
Wait … are you making fun of me??? :-)
Sort of :D
Just reflecting on how much we actually do agree on these days, despite coming from nearly polar opposite political frameworks.
And I do like Olbermann a lot of the time. Not really because he’s usually right; he rarely makes points I, or much of the… better informed segment of the left-wing haven’t already figured out. He just makes them very eloquently, and he would be an extremely persuasive personality if it weren’t for the fact that his lapses into vitriol tend to alienate anyone who doesn’t already agree with him.
@George
Extremely well said … spot on!
Heh. What liberalism needs in a pundit is someone with Keith Olbermann’s eloquence… and Jon Stewart’s tact.
Stupid Things I’ve Said in the Past:
“I’m 99% sure I’m straight.”
“There’s lots of evidence for Bigfoot.”
“Yah, Obama is a pimp.”
Oh, I remembered another one: “You can do anything you do on Windows on Linux.”
In light of your recent KJV-only posts, I thought you would enjoy this! http://tallskinnykiwi.typepad.com/tallskinnykiwi/2008/02/he-that-peth-ag.html
@Greg
Yeah, I saw that on MMI. Very funny :-)

“It’s my duty as a Christian to vote”.
