Innovation

I’m convinced that if someone invented a teleportation device, the automotive Union would complain about losing jobs.
Progress requires innovation. If we are to prosper as a country, we must make progress, and prosperity always trumps the temporary consequences of innovation.

Going Green

“Going Green”, by today’s standards, seems to mean “paying more to accomplish the same thing”.
As with any reasonable capitalist society, as soon as “Going Green” means “paying less”, the entire world will be doing it.
It’s not that people don’t care about environmental issues, it’s that they care more about paying their bills.

Taxing the Rich

When you tax the rich to pay for outrageous federal budgets, either the rich will run out of money, or you will run out of the rich.
Therefore, taxing the rich at a higher rate is, at best, a temporary solution.  It will always result in needing to eventually tax the poor.

Headaches

I probably spend 12+ hours a day looking at a computer screen, and it’s starting to take its toll.  I’ve been experiencing painful headaches lately, so it looks like I need to use my computer for work only for a while.  Blog posts will be short and infrequent until the headaches subside.

Let’s Face It, He’s a Political Phenom

Little did I know that he would [...]

Income Taxes …

… are my single largest monthly expense.  Literally, 1 out 6 working hours are done in order to pay the government.
When are we going to wake up and realize that income taxes don’t just suck, they are a form of modern citizen slavery!  But instead of working a plantation at the tip of a whip, [...]
